I earned my B.S. in Computer Information Systems and an MBA while attending the University of Nevada in Reno as both a traditional and non-traditional (old guy) student. As a security professional by trade, I continue to maintain international certifications including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional and Certified Information Systems Auditor. I have further completed and applied specialized training in computer forensics investigation, intrusion detection, and penetration testing in highly regulated industries.
Naturally, I write technology thrillers with my first stab at writing being the 2012 NanoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) challenge which resulted in my first novel, Serpents Unwound (2013). It’s fair to say I have caught the bug and am enjoying this writing, editing and promoting thing.
When not working my “9-to-5” or writing, I transform into an avid fantasy baseball player, novice guitar player, brilliant shower singer, and competitive shooter. A self-proclaimed master Mario Kart racer, I am consistently driven to defend my title upstairs in the family loft with the majestic Sierra Nevadans as a backdrop. In 2012, I finally retired my 1996 Fantasy Baseball championship shirt, my first and only winning season.
I’d love to have a guest blogger, answer a question about a post, or hear about participating in something cool.
